Kamifurano Pioneer MemorialKamifurano Pioneer Memorial
It was built in 1997 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the temple, which was built in 1907 by Tsunejiro Tanaka and eight members from Mie Prefecture, who settled here (currently the Kusawake district of Kamifurano Town).
This building is a dismantled and restored house of Teijiro Yoshida, the village chief at the time, who worked hard to recover from the mudslides caused by the Tokachidake eruption in 1920, and is an extremely valuable building that survived the damage caused by the Taisho mudslides.
